CHRISTMAS SHOPPING IN MORECAMBE

That this House notes that the Arndale centre in Morecambe had more shoppers in Christmas 2012 than 2011; further notes this is in part due to the Morecambe Visitor's excellent SOS Morecambe Campaign; further notes that other local newspaper editors should take note of the success of the campaign and run a similar campaign in their respective towns; further notes that the Portas funding from the Government has had a positive impact on the town and thanks the Government for this boost; and thanks the Prime Minister for meeting with the editor of The Visitor, Nicola Adam to hear about the campaign.
