The motion

That this House notes with concern the increased risk of stroke for sufferers of atrial fibrillation, which is the most common heart rhythm disturbance and affects up to 750,000 people in the UK; recognises the limited attention paid to preventing strokes caused by the condition by the healthcare sector; and calls for a national campaign to heighten awareness, improve GPs' knowledge and enhance quality care for the condition.
