Tabled by Jim McGovern (Labour) 35 signatures

The motion

That this House calls on the Government to investigate how best to recognise the dedication and sacrifice of the UK's civilian women who kept the home fires burning during the two World Wars; further calls on the Government to include this recognition in the nation's commemoration of the beginning of World War One in 2014; and notes that it ought to recognise the contribution of the nation's women in winning the peace after 1945.
