TRANSFER OF FORMER BRADFORD ODEON AND POLICE STATION SITES TO BRADFORD COUNCIL

That this House welcomes the news that the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) has approved the proposal to transfer the former Bradford Odeon site and the former police station site to Bradford Council at £1 each with an investment of £3.5 million: £1.3 million for the Odeon and £2.2 million for the former police station; and agrees with the statement made by the HCA's Executive Director in a personal letter sent to the hon. Member for Bradford East notifying him of the decision that this is a good day for Bradford and that the £3.5 million investment will help the Council to complete its transformation of the city centre.
