MIKE DENNESS

That this House very much regrets the passing of Mike Denness, Bellshill-born cricketer who played for Scotland, England, Essex and Kent; notes he was one of the first inductees into the Scottish Sports Hall of Fame; and further notes that he was Wisden cricketer of the year in 1975 and made a wide contribution to cricket, which was greatly to his credit and to his memory.
