PENSION AGE FOR WOMEN BORN IN 1954

That this House notes the case of Harlow resident Pauline Julian-Ross, who was born in 1954, has worked from just after her 15th birthday and has never been unemployed; further notes that women of precisely her age will have to wait longer for their pensions than those in many other age groups, including those born just a few years apart, because of how the rise in the pensionable age for women has been tapered; and therefore calls on the Government to see what additional special assistance can be given to women born in that year.
