The motion
That this House is very concerned by the reported poor practices and animal welfare issues at Imperial College London, as reported by the Sunday Times of 14 April 2013 after an investigation by the British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection; notes in particular the breaches in the regulatory regime governing animal experiments and inappropriate licensing and enforcement by the Home Office; and calls for a wholly independent inquiry into these allegations and any wider implications for how animal testing is licensed.
