The motion

That this House recalls that 100 years ago on 8 June 1913, Emily Wilding Davison died having been trampled by the King's Horse; notes that she was a leading member of the suffragette movement and a fighter for women's rights; further notes that of the 100 non-royal statues in the Palace of Westminster only six are statues of women; and therefore encourages the House authorities to erect a statue in her memory.
