SUCCESS OF THE EDINBURGH GUARANTEE

That this House congratulates Edinburgh Council on the success of the Edinburgh Guarantee; notes that more of the capital's school leavers than ever are moving into work, education or training thanks to the Guarantee and the strong partnership it has built between public and private sectors; further notes that the most recent figures published show that the success rate of Edinburgh's school leavers is up 3.3 per cent on the same time last year, meaning that 89.8 per cent of school leavers in the city are achieving and sustaining a positive destination; recognises the near 100 per cent success rate of Queensferry High School in South Queensferry in ensuring that its leavers go into further education, training or work; further congratulates the Edinburgh Guarantee on leading the way in finding training and employment places for school leavers; and wishes the Edinburgh Guarantee every success in the future.
