ROOM HIRE CHARGES ON THE PARLIAMENTARY ESTATE

That this House believes that the charges that have now been introduced for charities and local community groups to hire rooms on the Parliamentary estate are not acceptable; supports those charities and local community groups who wish to hold events on the estate; and calls on the House authorities to reconsider those charges to prevent the House becoming a wealthy gentleman's dining establishment at the expense of the people hon. Members come to the House to serve.
