GREEN TAXES

Tabled by Robert Halfon (Conservative) 3 signatures

The motion

That this House notes that, if left unchecked, the cost of green levies to energy bills will be £194 of a household's energy bill by 2020; further notes that Labour's proposed 2030 decarbonisation target would add a further £125 a year to a household's bill; further notes that this would make energy bills £319 a year higher by 2020; and believes that the Government should not save the planet by causing misery with high green taxes for hard-pressed families and the poorest pensioners.
