COWAN BRIDGE HOUSING PROPOSALS

That this House notes that option five in Lancaster City Council's future housing strategy is to build 5,000 homes near Cowan Bridge; further notes that Cowan Bridge is in proximity to the Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and to the Lake District National Park; further notes that no assessments of infrastructure, public services, school places or flood risk have been made; and deplores Lancaster City Council's option five as a wholly unsuitable option for the rural area around Cowan Bridge.
