The motion
leave out from 'diabetes' to end and add `and notes how infinitesimally small the number of road accidents involving people with diabetes are when compared for example to the number of injuries and deaths involving cyclists; but would not conclude on the basis of the data that people with diabetes, however they are treated, should have their driving licences withdrawn, any more than the riding of bicycles should be banned from the public highway as it would suggest if reducing accidents is the primary purpose behind this report.'.
