RETURN TO LONDON OF THE DUKE OF WELLINGTON STATUE

Tabled by Mr Barry Sheerman (Labour (Co-op)) 5 signatures

The motion

That this House is aware that the magnificent statue of the Duke of Wellington was controversially removed from its original site near Apsley House by Green Park at the request of Victoria; and now calls for its immediate return from exile in Aldershot so that it can be given an appropriately high-profile position in our nation's capital in this bicentennial year of the Battle of Waterloo.
