DEPARTING CHIEF EXECUTIVE OF DIABETES UK

That this House commends the work of the outgoing Chief Executive of Diabetes UK, Baroness Barbara Young, who has played a significant and effective role in promoting awareness of diabetes; recognises that, under Baroness Young's leadership, Diabetes UK has succeeded in putting diabetes treatment and care high on the healthcare agenda of the UK, including a key role in the National Diabetes Prevention Programme announced this year; notes Baroness Young's energy and enthusiasm to promote real change and the betterment of patients' lives; and wishes Baroness Young well in her future roles.
