RECOGNITION OF BANGLA AS AN OFFICIAL LANGUAGE OF THE UN

That this House welcomes the ongoing campaign initiated by Bangladeshis in the UK to have Bangala, which is the fifth most common spoken language in the world, recognised as an official language of the UN; and calls on the Government to give its support to this proposal.
