HOMELESS HEALTH MATTERS

That this House notes with concern the health challenges which confront homeless people; expresses thanks to the St Mungo's charity for the important work it does to help and support homeless people; is alarmed that 7.3 per cent of homeless people suffer from physical health problems and 80 per cent report mental health problems; and endorses the call in that report by St Mungo's, A Future Now - Homeless Health Matters: The Case for Change, particularly in regard to the call for health and well-being boards to take action to improve homeless health.
