SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY 2015

That this House recognises the outstanding work done by Small Business Saturday UK in encouraging consumers to shop locally and support small businesses in their communities; congratulates Britain's five million small businesses for providing the backbone of local economies and employment; welcomes the diversity, resilience and innovation of the small business sector, which includes traditional family businesses and new online start-ups, retailers and wholesalers, and business services, as well as small manufacturers; further welcomes the growth in popularity of Small Business Saturday, on the first Saturday of every December, as a day dedicated to celebrating these successes; yet further recognises the need to support, inspire and promote small businesses all year round; and encourages hon. Members and their constituents to visit their favourite local business on Small Business Saturday 2015 on 5 December 2015.
