WORLD DIABETES DAY

That this House welcomes efforts across the UK in aid of World Diabetes Day; considers that this day makes a real difference in raising awareness of diabetes, its dangers and how its onset can be prevented in certain cases; congratulates hon. Members, individuals and businesses worldwide for lighting up local monuments blue, and to hundreds of other people across the UK for taking blue circle selfies, wearing blue, and organising events and screenings for World Diabetes Day; and calls on the Government to ensure that the legacy of this campaign continues and that further diabetes awareness-raising initiatives are promoted across the UK.
