INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS FOR MEDICINES

That this House welcomes the Government's commitment to play a positive and constructive part in the forthcoming Council of Ministers discussions on the European Commission's proposed regulation to restore intellectual property rights to medicinal products; and urges full acceptance of the EC plan in the interests of NHS patients and the United Kingdom pharmaceutical industry.
