The motion

That this House congratulates St Winning's Primary School in Kilwinning, North Ayrshire, on winning the Kellogg's National Breakfast Club Award for Scotland; commends the work of St Winning's staff and pupils, and all schools and local organisations across the UK, in setting up breakfast clubs; acknowledges that such clubs offer a safe environment where children can eat healthy breakfast before lessons, ensuring that they are focused and ready to learn; welcomes studies undertaken by Cardiff University which have yielded the most compelling evidence demonstrating a positive correlation between eating breakfast and academic performance; and is delighted that Kellogg's will be hosting its National Breakfast Awards Ceremony on 8 December 2015 in the Terrace Pavilion and will be celebrating breakfast clubs and the positive effect they have on children's learning in schools across the UK.
