POLIO ERADICATION

That this House recalls that the Government pledged to help end polio by agreeing to support the Global Polio Eradication Initiative, supporting the many world health organisations who have been battling to beat the illness throughout the Third World; believes that with the successes gained there is now a chance to largely confine polio to medical history books; and calls on the Government to keep promises made and continue to support whatever measures it takes to eradicate this dreadful, terrible disease.
