"MIKEYSLINE" COMMUNITY SUPPORT FOR YOUNG PEOPLE IN DISTRESS

That this House commends the establishment of Mikeysline a volunteer and community-led initiative in the Highlands; notes that Mikeysline is aimed at supporting those at risk of self-harm and suicide and in providing a lifeline for young people who feel trapped by issues such as bullying, alcohol, loneliness, depression amongst other issues and drugs, consequently finding it difficult to express their feelings; and believes that the work carried out by organisations such as Mikeysline is a valuable expression of community support for young people in distress.
