FUTURE OF S4C AND WELSH LANGUAGE BROADCASTING

That this House recognises the contribution made by the world's only Welsh-language television channel, S4C, in supporting Welsh culture and enabling new Welsh speakers to acquire the language; condemns the on-going financial cuts which threaten its unique role; and calls on the Government to commission an independent review into the future and funding of Welsh language broadcasting.
