PARKHEAD HOUSING ASSOCIATION (No. 2)

That this House congratulates Parkhead Housing Association on its recent accreditation as a Living Wage employer; recognises the crucial importance of organisations in the private, public and social sectors paying decent wages and setting positive examples by paying the real Living Wage; notes Parkhead Housing Association's contribution to the community in the east end of Glasgow and its plans to expand its social enterprise activities by establishing a trading subsidiary later this year; and urges other organisations across Glasgow, Scotland and the UK to follow its example in becoming an accredited Living Wage employer.
