The motion
That this House recognises the outstanding contribution to football made by the members of England's 1966 World Cup-winning team; notes the honours given to Sir Bobby Charlton and Sir Geoff Hurst; calls for the remaining members of that team to be honoured with knighthoods; believes this to be a fitting way to commemorate the 50th anniversary of England's greatest footballing achievement; and congratulates the Sunday Mirror on that newspaper's Knight the Lions campaign, calling for all the 1966 players to finally get the recognition they deserve.
