NUCLEAR WEAPON-FREE WORLD

That this House welcomes the work of the UN Working Group on Nuclear Disarmament to develop legal measures, legal provisions and norms for achieving a nuclear weapon-free world; condemns the Government for voting against these important new talks; reminds the Government of its obligation under Article VI of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty; and calls for the Trident renewal programme in the UK to be scrapped.
