COSTS OF PENSION SHARING

Tabled by Lord Mann (Labour) 28 signatures

The motion

That this House believes that the fees imposed on consumers when splitting their pensions are excessive, often involving very little work and appear out of kilter with other charges; notes that the Government does not regulate this market and that it is dominated by five or six large pension providers who set their own fees and charges; and calls on the Government to intervene in this industry and ensure that excessive fees can no longer be charged and maximum charge levels are introduced.
