The motion
That this House is concerned that the Post Office Act 1953, the Unsolicited Goods and Services Act 1971, the Video Recordings Act 1984 and the Data Protection Act 1984 are being circumvented by the use of box numbers and accommodation addresses; believes that those controlling either should be held liable under the Acts in order to help the police stem the tide of unsolicited pornographic material highlighted in the News of the World campaign; and calls for action to ensure that the law on this subject can be fully enforced in this country both before and after 1992.
