COMMENTS BY THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OF THE ROYAL COLLEGE OF MIDWIVES

That this House expresses concern about the remarks made by the Chief Executive of the Royal College of Midwives (RCM) seeking to scrap the time limit for abortions, a statement made without consultation from the RCM, who we thank for doing all it can to preserve life; and asks how someone in this position can express a view which is contradictory to those in the medical profession and by the RCM whose motto is Life is a gift from God.
