CLOSURE OF THE 360 BUS ROUTE IN COVENTRY

That this House notes with concern the proposed closure of the 360 bus route in Coventry by Centro, the regional transport authority in the West Midlands, and the plans to break up the route into three separate bus routes; further notes that the existing 360 bus route serves a large geographical area and provides convenient access to University Hospital Coventry from across the city; considers this route a vital lifeline to the people of Coventry in facilitating access to important medical care and treatment; and calls on Centro to reconsider its proposals to discontinue the current service.
