GOVANHILL BATHS IN LOCAL HANDS

That this House warmly welcomes the news that Govanhill Baths is to re-open in 2018; congratulates community campaigners who staged the longest continuous occupation of a public building in British history, as they camped out for 140 days in protest against the closure of a vital community building; and commends all those dedicated local people who worked so hard to fulfil their campaign slogan United we will swim again.
