The motion
That this House commends Onthank Men's club in Kilmarnock for providing an opportunity for men of pensionable age in Onthank to share skills and interests, build friendships and reduce social isolation; recognises the importance of keeping mentally and physically active in old age and the benefits of relationships and extended social group to mental wellbeing; congratulates them on their Awards for All Scotland grant of £1,464 from the Big Lottery Fund; applauds the community service and entertainment they provide to local residential homes through their choir, the Unlikely Lads; and wishes the Unlikely Lads every success for their coming performance, Lads Unleashed, at Centrestage in Kilmarnock on 9 October 2016.
