FALKIRK AND DISTRICT ASSOCIATION FOR MENTAL HEALTH

That this House congratulates Falkirk and District Association for Mental Health for having been awarded one of only 10 prestigious GSK Impact Awards given in recognition of excellence in community health care; recognises the extremely valuable work that this service undertakes in caring for those in the community suffering from a variety of mental health issues and who are dealing with difficult and challenging problems; acknowledges that this service provides extremely beneficial assistance to those engaging there; praises the sensitivity and consideration of those working in the team in providing this much-needed facility; further acknowledges the significance this work makes in promoting a caring and understanding society; and acknowledges the esteem in which the service is seen, having been visited by over 50 organisations who have gained expertise from the service's success and the work it does which has influenced similar organisations, not only in the Forth Valley area, but across the whole of Scotland.
