MARY'S MEALS AND THE QUEEN'S AWARD FOR VOLUNTARY SERVICES

That this House congratulates the Scottish charity Mary's Meals on being awarded the Queens' Award for Voluntary Services; notes that Mary's Meals provides school meals for thousands of children worldwide through a network supported by over 65,000 volunteers; believes that the work done by Mary's Meals makes a significant contribution to the alleviation of poverty worldwide and contributes to improved health and educational outcomes as a result of providing healthy and nutritious meals at early stages of a child's development; congratulates Mary's Meals on receiving such a prestigious award; and wishes all its staff and volunteers every success in the future.
