The motion
That this House notes the hosting of the inaugural Powerboat P1 Scottish Grand Prix of the Sea, which is being held in Inverclyde on 18 and 19 June 2016; understands that the potential economic impact of the event is estimated to be approximately £2.5 million; recognises that Inverclyde’s location and transport links make it an ideal location for tourism-related events; acknowledges the event as an important opportunity to showcase Inverclyde to an international audience; and wishes the organisers and participants the best of success.
