That this House notes and congratulates JJ Denholm Group on reaching an historic 150 years in business; further notes that the company derives its name from the original business that was formed in Greenock by James and John Denholm in 1866 and that their descendants own that company today; notes that this family business was once only a ship agency business, but over the years has moved into shipping, logistics, seafoods and oilfield services employing over 3,000 people across the UK; and recognises that JJ Denholm Group exemplifies the great British tradition of strong family business.
