CARRICK COMMUNITY LEISURE GROUP

That this House congratulates Carrick Community Leisure Group (CCLG) on gaining an award of £129,855 from the Big Lottery Fund Scotland; acknowledges the value of providing a place where a wide range of activities can take place for people of all ages; recognises that without such a place many people may struggle to get themselves out of the house and socialise with others; notes that many such organisations rely on Big Lottery Funding to continue to support their communities; and commends the Big Lottery Fund Scotland for its role in supporting small local projects like CCLG to tackle some of the big social problems like poor health and isolation.
