M62 RELIEF ROAD

That this House condemns the proposed M62 Relief Road which involves the demolition of over 350 homes and the creation of widespread planning blight in the Whitefield part of the Bury South constituency; believes that other alternatives to the proposals should be considered and that the devastating effect on the lives and environment of those affected is too high a price to pay; and calls upon the Department of Transport to withdraw the proposals forthwith.
