The motion
That this House congratulates Ulsterman Jonathan Rea on claiming his second consecutive Superbike World Championship title on 29 October 2016; acknowledges that he is the first rider since 1999 to win successive world superbike titles and becomes a member of an elite club comprised of just four riders who have achieved such a feat; recognises the major role he plays as an ambassador for the sport and his country; and notes that the final top three positions in the 2016 Superbike World Championship are filled by British riders.
