CARBON MONOXIDE AWARENESS WEEK

That this House notes that the eleventh annual Carbon Monoxide Awareness Week takes place from 21 to 27 November 2016; further notes that this campaign was established by the charity Carbon Monoxide Awareness, an organisation which supports the victims and families of victims of carbon monoxide poisoning; recognises that in the UK more than 200 people are admitted to hospital with suspected carbon monoxide poisoning each year, which sadly leads to around 50 deaths; highlights that risks can be reduced by installing a CO alarm in the home and by having appliances regularly serviced by a registered engineer; and wishes this year's campaign success in spreading awareness of the dangers of carbon monoxide.
