GLASGOW CALEDONIAN UNIVERSITY ADVANCED HIGHER HUB

That this House recognises the ground-breaking work of Glasgow Caledonian University's Advanced Higher Hub, which widens access to education for school pupils across Glasgow by offering Advanced Highers to pupils in schools where those qualifications are not currently available; congratulates the Hub on the outstanding pass rate of 91 per cent at Advanced Higher level in 2016, achieved through the commitment of teachers both in the Hub and in the partner schools, supported by funding from Glasgow City Council and the Scottish Funding Council; celebrates the achievements of the Hub at the SQA Star Awards where it won the Pride o' Worth Award for Centres and Partnership of the Year; notes that the Hub is the first of its kind in Scotland; and wishes it continuing success in its future endeavours.
