BARRHEAD HIGH SCHOOL DIANA AWARD AND ALANA BOWDEN AND ADAM INNES

The motion

That this House celebrates the outstanding achievements of Barrhead High School students Alana Bowden and Adam Innes, both winners of Diana Awards, for their dedication to helping others; applauds Adam for his initiative, dedication and industry in forming and running free running and gymnastics clubs to encourage boys to be involved in sport and break down barriers to participation; notes that Adam has not missed one session in three years, and recognises the significant positive impact his efforts have had on others; congratulates Alana for her focus on community and inclusion; further notes her efforts in organising local trips for school pupils with learning difficulties and those suffering from mental ill health; appreciates the supportive and constructive nature of her efforts; recognises the value both of these initiatives have to individuals and to breaking down barriers and fostering greater understanding and acceptance within local communities; and further congratulates Alana and Adam on their awards.
