INAUGURATION OF GAMBIAN PRESIDENT ADAMA BARROW

That this House congratulates Adama Barrow on his inauguration as President of The Gambia; welcomes the regional co-operation and work of the Economic Community of West African States, the African Union, the Catholic Church and others to ensure a peaceful transition of power after President Barrow's election victory; recognises that the inauguration is of historic significance as the first peaceful democratic transition of power in Gambian history; and wishes President Barrow and the Gambian people the very best for their new democratic future.
