WORLD INDOOR BOWLS CHAMPIONSHIP

That this House congratulates Irvine born and Troon resident Paul Foster MBE on winning his fifth World Indoor Bowls championship; appreciates the thrilling climax that he and his opponent, Greg Harlow, provided to end the tournament in a high-quality final that was an excellent advertisement for the sport; acknowledges that his victory makes Mr Foster the second most prolific winner of the World Indoor Championship singles titles; values Mr Foster's humble recognition of this terrific achievement and his magnanimous praise for his opponent; and recognises that Mr Foster is a role model not just for members of his own sport but for sport in general due to his numerous accolades and his attitude towards his sport and his opponents.
