CARER'S TRUST'S FOCUS ON HEALTH FOCUS ON CARERS (OLDER CARERS) PROJECT

That this House congratulates the Carer's Trust on securing a grant of £46,801 from the People's Health Trust for its Focus on Health Focus on Carers (Older Carers) project; notes that the funding will enable North and South Ayrshire Carers Centres to improve the emotional and physical health of older carers by helping them secure the benefits they are entitled to; recognises that the Centres will make available health assessment and health-related activities and will offer support with emergency planning; acknowledges that the project will allow the Centres to facilitate access to breaks from caring responsibilities and that such opportunities can be enormously valuable for carers and their families; and commends the on-going commitment of the Carer's Trust to improving the lives of carers and their families across the UK.
