POSTCODE LOCAL TRUST FUNDING FOR CAMBUSLANG ALLOTMENT GARDENS

That this House congratulates Cambuslang Allotment Gardens on securing £1950 of funding from the Postcode Local Trust; notes that the allotment gardens has been a very successful project in the Halfway area for several years now; acknowledges the hard work and dedication of the members of the organisation in establishing a successful gardening project in the area; expresses gratitude to the Salvation Army for its support of the project and use of land; understands that the money will enable the members to improve the sustainability of the gardens through the installation of a solar energy system, as well as increasing capacity to grow food for donation to the local food bank; and wishes the group all the best for the future.
