KIDSGROVE SPORTS CENTRE

That this House notes that Kidsgrove Sports Centre is facing imminent closure due to the decision by Staffordshire County Council to abruptly cut financial support for the facility; further notes that Staffordshire County Council currently owns the land that the centre is built on; recognises the importance and popularity of the services provided at the leisure centre; and calls on Staffordshire County Council to provide the land to Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council free of charge so that new facilities can be developed and for both councils to work to ensure that services are maintained in the interim.
