AUCHINLECK ACADEMY WINS RUGBY U16s BOWL

That this House congratulates Auchinleck Academy on lifting the Bowl at the Scottish Schools' Final held at BT Murrayfield on 6 December 2017, beating Oban High School 24-21 in a hard fought game; notes that Auchinleck Academy only became a School of Rugby in 2015; further notes that the school is one of 15 Cashback Schools of Rugby in Scotland and was one of only two Cashback schools represented at the Scottish Schools' Final; recognises the benefits of utilising recovered proceeds of crime to encourage sport at grassroots levels; and commends the work of the staff involved in coaching, mentoring and encouraging the rugby culture of respect, hard work and shared values on and off the pitch.
