LORD CORNET-ELECT, GARY WINNING

That this House congratulates Gary Winning on being selected as Lord Cornet-elect 2018, the traditional flag bearer of the Lanimers celebrations;·recognises Lanark as the only Royal Burgh to continue its charter condition of annual examination of March, or boundary, stones from 1140 to the present day; commends Gary on his excellent contributions to business in Lanark through his Discover Lanark project, supported by the Lanark Community Development Trust, his Totally Local campaign, and work as manager of The Clydesdale Inn; looks forward to seeing Gary in the traditional Lord Cornet uniform of a riding jacket, hunting bowler, breeches and boots; and wishes him well during his year in office.
